Reported instances of rape per 100,000 city residents
Data were obtained from the FBI Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program API. Rape and Sexual Assault rates were calculated by aggregating the monthly total number of reported instances of rape by year, dividing by the city’s total population, and multiplying the result by 100,000. The current year and any years with missing monthly data were excluded from the analysis.
